Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District, ("the District") was formed as a governmental entity in 1996 in accordance with Title 32 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. Formation of the District was approved by the District Court and Grand County Board of County Commissioners. Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District\'s Community Water and Sewer system was constructed in 2001 to provide sewer and water services to Pole Creek Valley. Grand County required the sewer treatment plant also include Old Town Tabernash in its service area. The maintenance and operations are performed by certified operators. Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) oversees the system.
