About the District

Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District is a government entity which provides water and sewer services to Pole Creek Valley, Lakeside at Pole Creek Townhomes, and Coyote Creek Townhomes.  The District also provides sewer service to the Old Town of Tabernash.  

Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District is funded through mill levees, service fees, and the sale of water and sewer taps.  The District is governed by a Board of Directors elected by residents of the district.

History of the District

Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District, ("the District") was formed as a governmental entity in 1996 in accordance with Title 32 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. Formation of the District was approved by the District Court and Grand County Board of County Commissioners.

Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District's Community Water and Sewer system was constructed in 2001 to provide sewer and water services to Pole Creek Valley. Grand County required the sewer treatment plant also include Old Town Tabernash in its service area. The maintenance and operations are performed by certified operators. Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) oversees the system.
